Incorporated in 1994 in Douala (Cameroon, Africa) Kanza Sarl was motivated by the entrepreneurial spirit of the founder, the wonderful Kamfang Lisette. Kanza Sarl was created on the principles of employee inclusion and quality of execution.
After only five years of operation, Kanza Sarl won its first major project in Yaoundé. With its first CEO, Maurice Kamgaing, it became a major player in the utility construction sector. During the 1990s and 2000s, Kanza Sarl continued to win contracts for the maintenance and construction of electricity networks in southern Cameroon. Kanza’s operations grew significantly in Douala and expanded to the Northern, South-West, Western and Eastern Territories.
As the new millennium dawned, Kanza Sarl was awarded numerous maintenance and service contracts, and its bonding capacity increased, as did its reputation for completing projects on time and to a high standard.
During the 2000s, Kanza Sarl won a series of major transmission line and substation contracts. Highlights included the installation of the largest transmission structures in the western region and several major EPC projects. The work required the hiring of more skilled tradespeople, foremen and supervisors, and the management structure was expanded to support this growth.
2012 was a pivotal year – Coming straight from Detroit, Michigan (USA) with a different way of doing things; Landry Ludovic Fezeu, the Founder’s son was appointed as the new CEO of the company. He focused on business development and technology. The former CEO is now responsible for all operations. Kanza also opens two more branches in Garoua and Edea that year.
In 2014, with over 100 employees, Kanza Sarl has become a full-service provider of engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance in the region. Geographically, this extends from the north-eastern region of Douala to Bamenda.
In 2015, Kanza Sarl was awarded the best Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) award on the market www.kanzasarl.com.
